Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager
With UEM (Unified Endpoint Manager) Ivanti offers a comprehensive solution for the management of clients, users and data.
UEM essentially consists of two components:
- Ivanti Endpoint Manager (EPM)
- Ivanti User Workspace Manager (UWM)
The EPM is the tool for the management of devices, operating systems and applications, while the UWM deals with user and file management (especially user profiles and user data). In addition to this area, other product areas (e.g. ITSM) are lined up under the large umbrella of Ivanti's "Unified IT", for whose management the "Ivanti Cloud" is intended as a cockpit.

User Workspace Manager (UWM)
A very good complement to EPM is the UWM (formerly AppSense DesktopNow), with which users and their properties, rights and also files are managed efficiently and reliably.
UWM consists of the following three components:
- Ivanti Environment Manager (EM) (in particular user profile management)
- Ivanti File Director (file management)
- Ivanti Performance Manager (Monitoring)
For this powerful solution, too, we offer you all the services you need - from the presentation of the solution to reviewing and fine-tuning existing environments. Customers already using the UWM can also benefit from the addition of the EPM and the creation of corresponding synergies.

Ivanti Endpoint Manager (EPM)
EPM is positioned by Ivanti as a strategic deployment solution and is therefore of particular interest to current DSM customers. Ivanti supports the customers together with the corresponding partners within the framework of appropriate migration scenarios, among other things:
- 1:1 license exchange from DSM to EPM licenses
- Parallel operation of DSM and EPM without time limit during the transition phase
- Additional tools (application control, device control (from the LDMS), as well as EM policy) can be used for this purpose at no additional cost
- It is planned to gradually incorporate further features from DSM into EPM
- Improved synergies in the interaction between EPM and UWM through progressive integration (UEM)
- Migration tools and assistance
The migration from DSM to EPM can thus also represent the first step towards the use of the complete UEM, in order to exploit further synergies. We will be happy to advise you on the most appropriate approach.

In this context, our current in-house development - the NWC Packaging PowerBench (PPB) - also plays an important role. Through automated conversion of eScript packages to PowerShell and the possibility to package graphically oriented as usual in DSM or eScript, migration efforts are minimised and packaging can be carried out almost as usual.
